Drum Lesson 10: Teng-Teng-Ta (Old)

Last week I practice the groove on the high-hat... so this week is to combine it with the bass drum and snare. Its a 4/4 time signature. With the high-hat groove (teng-teng) as quaivers for every beat. The bass drum is in crochet for note 1 and 3. The snare is also in crochet for note 2 and 4. Thereby having a rhythem of Teng-Teng-Ta. Sounds easy right? But having the experience from the past I know i sure "gabra"... its the co-ordination problem.. and i do have one...

so after much correction on how to do the groove and hala-ing about slimming pills, christianity and how to use the phone to play pranks on others, we started playing the drum with the music... its not so advance as to playing wat the music is playing but catching the rhythem and then playing the drum beats with it... as usual i tend to speed up as the time moves... and now i really have to go practice listening and counting with music (this is the part i hate most during my piano exams... i'm always very lousy at that)... with my busy schedule and tired body i hope i can find the time to do it...

so for now... back to work... :'(
